Migrating from Patchwork 1.X to 2.0-rc1

  1. Download patchwork-signed.sprx.
  2. Rename patchwork-signed.sprx to patchwork.sprx.
  3. Copy patchwork.sprx to /dev_hdd0/plugins/patchwork.sprx on your PS3, replacing if prompted.
  4. Create a new configuration file using a text editor and name it patchwork.toml, and copy the following TOML data into it.
[patchwork]
server_url = "http://example.com"
digest_key = ""
join_key = "password123"
enable_join_key = true

[updates]
enable_updates = true
update_server = "http://example.com/update"
  1. Set server_url to your preferred custom server. If Beacon, leave digest_key as empty quotes, if Bonsai, set digest_key to CustomServerDigest. Make sure to leave the quotes around string options.
  2. If you intend on using a join key, set the join_key field to whatever you would like. Make sure to set enable_join_key to true to use the set join key.
Note

Using a join key will prevent you from being able to use Dive-In. It is recommended to be set to false unless you are trying to play with someone using a Patchwork version less than 2.0. If you are playing with someone using a Patchwork version less than 2.0, check to ensure your join key is less than 16 characters. Otherwise, truncate it to 16 characters. Example: ThisIsAnExamplePasswordLongerThan16Chars -> ThisIsAnExampleP.

  1. Currently, we do not have an update server, so it’s recommended to set enable_updates to false.
  2. Save patchwork.toml and copy it to /dev_hdd0/plugins/patchwork/patchwork.toml. Create the patchwork folder if it does not already exist.
  3. Start the target game.
